What inspires you about the Reggio Emilia Approach?
The natural beautiful simplicity of the approach on every level of teaching. The pared down environment and the personalization of all the spaces within our school, Celebrating the children's language by documenting and making their work visible. Visiting other Reggio inspired schools keeps me stimulated and wanting more!

The world is small, isn't it? I saw Kathy this winter, when she was speaking at a conference on Long Island. I hadn't seen her in many years. it was really good to connect, and I've been much more conscious of doing phys ed work since I saw her.
I've been working in a Reggio Inspired school for five years, and was curious about it for about two years before that. The following of children's interests is familiar from parenting, and my oldest will be 20 on Monday. So, the answer is, I've known about the Reggio Approach for about seven years, since I saw the video from Seattle about the tower. I've been inspired since then.
