What inspires you about the Reggio Emilia Approach?
I love the way it empowers children to think for themselves. I like the collaboration that is done between all the parties involved in a classroom and that teachers see themselves not as instructors but as researchers.
About Me:
I am a preschool teacher working for an agency that provides incusive classrooms to children with special needs (10 typical children/8 special needs children per classroom with 3 teachers plus therapists) I have always been drawn to the Reggio Approach and am always looking for ways to incorporate it into our programs.
Where are you teaching? I find I like to have a general location for the people in the conversations. I'll bet if I move the colored tape closer to the communications center the kids will use it more for decoration. At the moment, it is mainly used for coding things.
