Playing the Building
This was the experience of entering David Byrne's project at the Merchant Mariner's Hall in New York. The organ connected air hoses to columns, radiators, pipes and motors. Sometimes the air controlled strikers, sometimes it blew air through. It was an amazing piece of public art.
